Tiny Town Goats
Welcome to Tiny Town Nigerian Dwarf and Pygmy Goats!
believe that the proof is in the pudding!  Thus as you browse the site and look
at the goats , we list only their significant wins - we don't feel you need us to
boast about a 3rd place ribbon at a local county fair .... we list our ADGA/AGS
championship wins.

On that note - Tiny Town Goats is please to announce we have two resident
ADGA champions in 2007 as permanent residents on our farm! CH Ground
Rush Mama Mia finished her ADGA championship in June 07 - and CH Buttin'
Heads Zipther joined us in May.  We competed at some nine ADGA sanctioned
events in 07, and ended our season with championship legs on 2 additional
does (Bleu and Ellie) and were thrilled when two of our junior does got their
ADGA dry leg (junior championships) along the way ( Moo and Fifty).

Our pygmy herd has increased in size as well - and we hope to have a few kids
to show for it in the spring of 2008.

We breed our does for early spring kids - and dry them up in late September
after the show season ends. This practice works for us, as we are not
breeding to "just produce more goats" - but we work hard by maintaining a
strict milking schedule - bottle feeding pasteurized milk at EVERY feeding -
making cheese - and showing.  Our family enjoys the time off from October to
March before the early mornings, and late night milking chores begin again.

I am a member of American Dairy Goat Association (ADGA) the Maryland
Dairy Goat Association (MDGA), the American Goat Society (AGS), and the
Eastern Director for the American Nigerian Dwarf Dairy Association (ANDDA).
I encourage all Nigerian Dwarf owners and breeders in my region to join
ANDDA and support your national breed club. Our goats are ADGA registered
and we currently participate in ADGA sanctioned events.

Welcome to our site - and using the navigation bar to the left find the section
that interest you. If we have adults available they will be listed there under
"for sale".  Feel free to email us with any questions or comments. Enjoy your
visit!

Our farm has evolved in quantum leaps since then, and
today host our herd of Nigerian Dwarf Dairy Goats (our main
focus) , NPGA Pygmy Goats, Netherland Dwarf Rabbits, and
10 horses - made up of two drafts and 8 Haflingers. We also
own and operate Canvasback Labradors and currently boast
five AKC home bred champions, multiple AKC champions,
and too many performance champions to list!  Please come
by and visit our kennel website at
www.canvasbacklabs.com.

The goats specifically have stolen our hearts, and through
our involvement with 4H, have become a primary farm
focus.  Our son enjoys showing the goats as our older
daughter once enjoyed showing the dogs. He has become
quite a showman, and we now compete in a much higher
level of competition then the "local county fair".   As our kids
(the goat kind) mature and show improvement over does
from our origins, we enjoy the satisfaction of success in our
breeding program - and occasionally offer mature does for
sale so that others can start their herds from mature stock.
We don't just breed goats!  Anyone can assemble a herd of
goats/culls from other herds and call themselves "largest"
etc....but that is not  our goal here at Tiny Town, where we
