| Peaches is our resident boss Hog - she was first and thinks she is part of the family.Quite tame and docile - my son can take her for walks, scratch her belly and have her lay down, or go basically anywhere he wants.... Peaches is a purebred and is registered with the LBHA. Her first piglets are due any day (Nov 2010) and will be available for sale to breeder homes. |

| Ugly came to us from a local breeder who raises Large Blacks and Tamworths for heritage breed meat at farmers markets. Ugly is a cross from these two heritage breeds and when we got her as a little gilt she was in fact - ugly! She looked more Tamworth the LB at the time, but talke about the little runt that turned into a beautiful swan??? Here she is. Ugly has turned into a fine looking Sow, and is truly an affectionate pig! She lets my son lay down with her with her piglets! Although she probably would have ended up on the spit if sold to anyone else - I think Ugly has a permanent home here as a brood sow for meat hogs and pet. Her piglets are 3/4 |
