A specially designed bag locks in the freshness and initiate nature's own fermentation process. The Chaffhaye
bag acts as a natural fermentation vat, similar to the digestive process that occurs in the digestive tract of horses
and livestock. The process converts raw alfalfa into a "pre-digested" feed with live yeast and beneficial enzymes
not normally found in dry hay or pellets. Chaffhaye's abundant levels Chaffhaye is made with alfalfa or grass that
is carefully selected and harvested at peak leafiness to of beneficial bacteria unlock the nutrition in the forage by
breaking it down into more readily digestible units. The entire process facilitates greater digestion in the foregut
of the animal where the bulk of proteins, fats, starches, vitamins and minerals are absorbed. By improving the
digestion in the foregut, and balancing the feed load across the entire digestive tract, the animal is able to
absorb more energy,

Most animal feeds go through a drying process that removes most of the naturally occurring plant juices from the
forage. This essentially drains life from the feed. We process Chaffhaye to retain its natural plant juices,
preserving the natural probiotics of the feed. By retaining its plant juices, Chaffhaye becomes the closest product
you can buy to natural pasture. Hence, we call it "Premium Pasture-in-a-Bag".
